About the Role
Working as part of a team, the Palliative Care Project Officer will be responsible for supporting the implementation and evaluation of activities that meet the objectives of the Greater Choice for At Home Palliative Care (GCfAHPC) initiative across the Murrumbidgee region.
This role will work with internal and external stakeholders, including GPs, medical specialists, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, Palliative Care services, aged care providers, the local health district and community groups.
Essential Criteria
- Diploma level qualifications and or experience in one or more of the following; health, social welfare, community development, change management.
- Ability to engage and inspire a diverse range of stakeholders, including community groups to achieve project outcomes.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate across a broad range of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks and troubleshoot, in order to achieve key objectives within designated timeframes.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the region.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the health and community services system for people with a life limiting illness and their carers/family and current issues particularly in a rural context.
Base Salary: $85,453.60 per annum plus superannuation
