Council’s Works & Infrastructure Branch is recruiting for the position of Parks Maintenance Person / Plant Operator – Ouyen.
Position Objectives The officer will be responsible for:
Providing maintenance to Council parks, gardens and reserves in accordance with Parks Quality Standards.
Undertaking duties to support road construction, road maintenance, concrete and drainage maintenance gangs by provision of major plant and truck operations. This position is part of Works & Infrastructure Branch based at Ouyen Depot.
Qualifications and Experience Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
Knowledge and experience in garden, turf and tree care maintenance activities.
Ability to operate plant and equipment associated with Parks Maintenance, road construction and road maintenance.
Demonstrated experience in road and drainage construction works, and road maintenance activities associated with sealed and unsealed roads.
Ability to complete documentation associated with plant and equipment operation.
Ability to set out temporary traffic control signage in accordance with Australian Standards AS1742 part 3 - 2019.
Hold Current Drivers Licence with Relevant Plant Competencies Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
Salary and Conditions The position is classified within Band 3 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $63,885.12 to $67,907.84 per annum plus industry allowance, maintenance allowance and statutory superannuation.
