As a Parks Worker, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of parks, natural areas, roadside vegetation, and landscape improvement activities.
Responsibilities:
- Execute operational activities to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of parks and natural areas.
- Undertake landscaping tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces.
- Operate and maintain various machinery and equipment used in gardening and landscaping activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications, Training, and Licenses:
Essential:
- White card
- Certificate II in Horticulture.
- AC/DC commercial operator's license unrestricted class.
- Medium Rigid (MR) driver's license.
Desirable:
- Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and Tetanus immunization - may be essential if assessed as high risk.
- Additional mechanical and handheld gardening equipment licenses (e.g., Ride-On Mower).
- Plant Operating tickets.
- Traffic Controller's certificate, Chain Saw, pole saw, chemical application certificates.
