Part-Time Baker - Altona North

The Cupcake Queens have two amazing opportunities for experienced Bakers to join our dynamic (and fun!) baking team in the production of cupcakes supplying our eight retail locations. 

This role is based at our brand new bakery in Altona North.

Your days and hours of work will be:

Thursday, Friday + Saturday - 3 days per week

OR

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday + Wednesday - 4 days per week

Ideally, your hours of work will be 6am - 2pm (24 hours per week) depending on your days of work.

We have genuine flexibility with days and hours - in your cover letter please clearly state what suits you best.

Your duties will include:

• Operating commercial mixing machines and equipment
• Load and unload cupcakes and cakes into commercial baking oven
• Ice and decorate cupcakes and cakes by hand using a piping bag
• Complete quality assurance checks on orders and shop stock
• Ensure all food preparation areas and bakery equipment is clean

To be successful in this role you will need to be a positive, friendly, proactive person, who is all about baking and icing the best cupcakes possible!  In addition, you will need to have:

• An ability to hand pipe and be proficient in using a piping bag efficiently
• Minimum 1 year experience in baking OR kitchen environment
• Pastry and / or Chef qualifications are preferred BUT not essential
• The ability to work in a fast paced team environment
• Willingness to support other team members in a close knit environment
• Sound knowledge of all aspects of food safety and hygiene
