Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Part-Time Chef to join our culinary team at Buckley Sorrento Café. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating and executing our menu, ensuring that each dish reflects our commitment to excellence. From preparing ingredients to plating meals, you will uphold our standards of quality and consistency while infusing creativity and innovation into every recipe.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and refine menu offerings
• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and specifications
• Ensure freshness, quality, and consistency in all food items
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Oversee food inventory and ordering to minimise waste and optimise efficiency
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
• Proficiency in preparing a variety of cuisines, including breakfast, lunch, and desserts
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Certification from a culinary institution is a plus
