The beloved North Fitzroy Arms Hotel has earned itself a facelift. Currently undergoing renovation, the neighbourhood favourite will re-open in February as a gastro-pub, under a leading Head Chef and Sommerlier. Rest assured, the pub will not lose its heart and soul - instead this endearing old building is set to return to it's prime.
The pub has welcomed guests to the back streets of North Fitzroy for 150 years now, and to continue that tradition, we are in search of genuine hospitality professionals whom are kind, friendly, and passionate about the Hotel's new direction.
ABOUT THIS FULL-TIME ROLE:
A junior chef position is accompanied by the support and leadership of our motivated Head Chef, with their finger on the pulse of the hospitality scene. You will have the opportunity to create and contribute to a great dining experience and develop your professional culinary career
• Work alongside and take direction from the Head Chef
• Assist in all aspects of food preparation
• Contribute creative ideas
• Keep up in a fast paced establishment
• Maintain a high quality of food preparation during busy service periods
• Understand and execute food safety standards
• The ability to curate memorable experiences for our guests, through the passion and quality of your cooking, and your eye for detail.
• Minimum 1 years experience in a busy kitchen with proficient knife skills
• Professional verbal communication skills, including great rostering availability communication.
• Impeccable hygiene, grooming and presentation
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
