Job Title: Part-Time Youth Worker

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Youth Worker to join our team in Hornsby, NSW. The successful candidate will work 2 to 3 days per week, contributing to the development and delivery of programs aimed at supporting youth and families in the local area.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary training in youth, community, families, or social work (completed or in-progress)
- Understanding of the issues facing families and young people in Hornsby.
- Ability to relate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds in culturally sensitive ways
- Strong networking and liaison skills with government and non-government agencies
- Proficiency in computer and administrative skills
- Ability to deliver program content.
- Ability to build and lead small teams.
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), Police Check, Safe Organisations accreditation
- Car license and reliable transport
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and delivery of programs targeting youth and families
- Engage with young people and families to provide support and guidance.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including government and non-government agencies.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of outreach activities and events.
- Provide administrative support as required.
Remuneration: This role will be remunerated around SCHADS Award Level 2. $32- $35 per hour depending on experience.
Contract Details:
- Start with 12 hours per week.
- Additional hours and duties can be negotiated for the right applicant and based on the needs of the team.
