Position Overview: We're on the lookout for a highly organised and motivated Parts Manager to join our Brookton, WA team. The Parts Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing process by efficiently organising, ordering, and managing parts inventory. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess meticulous attention to detail, and boast excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently organise and maintain an inventory of parts to support the manufacturing schedule.
- Place orders for necessary parts and materials in a timely manner.
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming parts shipments.
- Pack away parts according to established procedures to ensure safe storage and easy retrieval.
- Develop and implement effective systems for managing parts inventory and tracking usage.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the availability of required parts and materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate future needs to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Conduct regular audits of parts inventory to identify discrepancies and address issues promptly.
- Train and supervise staff members involved in parts management activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in parts management or inventory control preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment a plus.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- A trade certifcate would be an advantage but not essential
