We are currently seeking an experienced, focused, and enthusiastic self-starter, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. This will see you assisting in the administration of various HR and WHS services and functions. Your current HR and WHS skills and knowledge will be an asset in this role as you interact with a diverse group of employees to help solve HR and WHS related questions and resolve issues whilst complying with company and legal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities – Human Resources Coordinator role
Recruitment, Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Support the Labour Coordinator with recruitment, including vetting candidates, assisting with interviews, checking references, and issuing employment contracts, etc.
- Coordination of new hire orientations and inductions ensuring that employees are inducted and understand AEG focus on always maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
- Coordinate the Exit Interview process, ensuring confidentiality, issues identified and trend analysis reports.
HR Generalist/Administration:
- Supporting all HR related requests.
- Compiling and maintaining paper and electronic employee records, including holiday, and personal leave.
- Provide support to payroll and follow up on documentation of employee compensation and benefits.
- Maintaining accurate employee database at all times.
Learning and Development:
- Maintain a continual focus on HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency.
- Coordinate and facilitate as appropriate, HR and professional development-related training programs, workshops, and seminars for relevant Managers and staff.
- Coordinate HR events and meetings and distribute management-employee communications.
- Coordinate training programs and assign the authority/responsibility of managers within those programs. Provide necessary education and materials for workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and report back mechanisms to determine value/outcomes.
Performance Management:
- Support the Labour Coordinator in developing a high-performance Leadership Team with the delivery of a Performance Management process, training and support that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.
- Establishes an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee onboarding or orientation, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and training transfers.
Responsibilities – WH&S Coordination
- Acknowledge general health & safety enquiries, consulting with other staff as necessary for information gathering.
- Record all health & safety queries or concerns, track and monitor progress against Actions.
- Support AEG team with coordination of Health & Safety Audits, distributing reports as appropriate.
- Input and import data and create Reports as required.

- Make regular use of training, development, and self-assessment processes to improve the quality of work.
Profile
To be successful in the position you will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent job-related experience.
- Prior HR and/or job-related experience, within a blue-collar environment, will be essential.
- Exceptional communications skills, time management and attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside of the department.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
- Ability to work autonomously with support from a hands-on Management Team.
- Position is suitable for those wishing to work school hours.
