The role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a 12-Month Contract position with work hours from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday to Friday or offering a degree of flexibility to accommodate school hours.
The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing financial transactions, including but not limited to:
- Maintaining accurate accounting records
- Conducting monthly reporting
- Handling accounts payable and receivable including precise and timely invoicing, payment allocations, reconciliations and banking
- Monitor and action all accounts emails and telephone queries whilst providing excellent customer service
- Work collaboratively with all departments to address any customer queries, billing discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner.
This role requires a high level of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Essential:
- Over 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or related field.
Competency:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite applications including intermediate Excel skills.
- Above average interpersonal and communication skills
- Above average numerical skills.
- Abstract reasoning and problem solving skills.
- Proven attention to detail.
- Fluent and clearly spoken English language skills.
Desirable:
- Current Motor Vehicle licence
