Playing a vital role in guest satisfaction, you would ensure the delicate balance of flavors, textures, and presentation that elevate desserts to unforgettable culinary experiences. Reporting to the Pastry Sous Chef, you will be responsible for the production of high quality and creative pastry items for all our venues including Restaurant, Banquets, Bars and High Tea.THE ROLEW Hotels culinary experiences serve as catalysts for conversations through crafting unique and exciting experiences that reflect the local cultures and incorporate local ingredients where possible.Working with the Executive Chef and Pastry Sous Chef you will create captivating pastries that will be memorable for our guests. Your role will include but is not limited to:
- Overseeing the pastry function and team within a 5-star Luxury hotel
- Managing a high performing team to deliver high quality products
- Creating memorable and personalised experiences for our guests
- Leading, motivating and having fun with the Pastry Team
- Ensuring Food Safety & Hygiene procedures are followed
- Mentoring, training and supervising junior chefs, including apprentices and interns
- Deliver memorable dishes with a strong emphasis on quality, consistency and presentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt and work well under pressure

- Cert III in Patisserie
- Career minded
- Minimum 5 years proven experience
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours
- Experienced in faced paced environments
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices
