LA RENAISSANCE PATISSERIE seeks Fulltime Pastrycook to join our team in our Waterloo kitchen.
Duties will include:
- - forming and baking pastry products such as croissants, tart bases and biscuits
- - monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance
- - mixing and preparing cake bases, pouring into moulds and baking
- - filling and decorating flans, decorating cakes
- - making chocolate truffles and chocolate decorations
- - making macarons, baking and filling them
- - complying with health and safety guidelines
- - ensuring quality and quantity of raw ingredients before commencing preparation
- - correctly use all relevant kitchen equipment, eg knives, blenders, dough hooks, pastry cutters, mixers
- - prepare and design a range of desserts
- - prepare additional quantities of dough and dessert mixes at the end of shift to store for use the next morning
- - ensure all baking tins and trays are emptied, cleaned and stored appropriately
- - ensure kitchen and kitchen equipment is kept clean and tidy at all times to comply with OH&S regulations
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
A Certificate IV in Patisserie (or equivalent) (or equivalent) and at least 3 years fulltime work experience in all aspects of French patisserie
