Payroll accounts officer

The opportunity

The Payroll & Accounts Payable Officer will provide support to the existing finance team within the Sharks Group.

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this role will predominantly focus on payroll and accounts payable for the Football and Leagues Club.

Who we’re looking for:

To be successful in this great role, you will be personable and articulate. In addition, you will:

• have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role;
• have a high level of skill, knowledge and experience in payroll;
• be able to perform payroll for up to 200 employees;

·        be able to prepare regulatory payroll payments;

·        be responsible for monitoring compliance with award rates;

·        be able to prepare regulatory payroll payments;

·        oversee and assist with accounts receivable and payable;

·        be adept with preparing information required for BAS returns;

·        assist with external audits;

·        demonstrate attention to detail;

·        have well-developed problem-solving skills;

·        have capacity to work independently; and

·        be able to plan, prioritise and complete critical tasks accurately and within required time frames.

Proven experience in the use of the following computer software is preferred:

·        Great Plains Dynamics

·        Sage Micropay

·        Human Force

·        Microsoft Office Excel
