Your New Role: Our Mile End office currently has an exciting upcoming opportunity for a Payroll / Accounts Officer.
With this contract commencing for hand-over/training in early April, this role will see you playing a pivotal part in supporting Allstaff’s business delivery and your primary focus will be to perform end to end payroll on a weekly pay cycle. Duties will include, but are not limited to: Processing weekly payroll on schedule and maintaining accurate records, ensuring all payroll related requirements are met Liaising with contractors, clients and management regarding payroll related queries General interpretation of legislation, awards and agreements to ensure compliance with legislative requirements Maintenance of the payroll system, updating rates when required Issuing quotes to clients as per requirements and agreements Preparation of payroll data for monthly and annual reports The successful applicant will possess the following: Payroll and Accounts Receivable experience Ability to interpret and understand relevant awards and legislation, as well as knowledge of the legal framework in which payroll is managed Competency in using Astute, MYOB or similar software (highly regarded, not essential) Ability to work calmly and purposefully under pressure in a fast-paced environment
