Payroll and Accounts Officer
Latrobe Early Learning operates multiple Children’s Services for children aged 0-12 years old on the Catholic Primary School site in Latrobe Tasmania. We have cultivated a culture where people feel included, supported, and respected. And we know how to have fun!
The Payroll and Accounts Officer position will primarily be responsible for all transactional finance duties as required within the day-to-day operations.
More specifically, this will include:
- Managing end-to-end Payroll using Reckon, including managing PAYG, Superannuation, reporting, and reconciliation requirements.
- Manage Accounts Payable, ensuring that suppliers are paid within agreed terms.
- Maintenance of financial records, including monthly reports for the Director.
- Reconciliation of Accounts.
- Preparation of Management reports within agreed time frames.
Profile
The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in all aspects of Transactional Accounting, including having completed end-to-end payroll duties. Ideally, you will also have prior experience using Reckon Accounting software. Relevant qualifications and/or experience in accounting and bookkeeping would be advantageous.
Additional highly valued skills include:
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with an ability to interact with various levels of stakeholders.
- Good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Flexibility to assist with HR administrative or Finance tasks as required.
- Previous experience working in a childcare centre using Qikids software would be an advantage.
Job Offer
On offer is a permanent, part-time role working within a medium business. Reporting directly to the Director, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders.
