Are you up for the challenge?
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Payroll Advisor to join our People team, based out of John Holland’s Sydney or Melbourne office.
You will be accountable and responsible for primarily processing all employees payroll records from onboarding to termination, and providing accurate, timely, and efficient payroll services support.
About the Role
End to end accurate processing of payrolls using Chris21 and other People Systems
Ensure JHG processes and procedures are complied with in processing of Payroll
Maintain all employee Masterfile records
Processing of new starters and transfers within the business
Processing of termination pays including redundancies and ensure legislative and regulatory rules are followed
Calculation of redundancies estimates for employees when required
Processing backpays and overpayment when they arise
Maintain and drive overpayment register including recovery process
Process all manual timesheets
Import Kronos files for payment where applicable
Process deductions and allowances
Review FEU or VAA's processes with added explanations
Facilitate the electronic transfer of salaries and wages to banking institutes (Segregations of duties from Snr Advisor)
Carry out all reasonable instructions from the Team Leader or Payroll Manager
Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, and procedures
Able to process all general employee’s updates from People Systems including time and attendance records from Kronos or other forms of timesheets
About You
This position requires you to have previous experience in a payroll role within a medium to large organisation, with demonstrated knowledge of payroll legislation and processes, e.g. tax, superannuation, and terminations.
You will have an appropriate level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software packages and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Your high level of attention to detail and proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines will see you succeed in the role. Experience working in the construction industry is highly regarded.
