The Company:My client is a large, growing, not for profit organisation based in Parramatta. They are currently looking to add a Payroll Officer/Advisor to their team. The Role:
This role reports to the HR & Operations Manager.
The right candidate will be accountable for supporting Payroll operational and compliance procedures.
Accountabilities:
- Ensuring salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on time as per EBA, Award, Employment Contracts and other legislative requirements.
- Resolving/answering queries relating to payroll across the organisation.
- Preparing, balancing and reconciling payroll tax, PAYG tax and FBT, superannuation, annual group certificates.
- Maintaining system records for leave, casual timesheets, employee records etc.
- Providing management reports and undertaking required statutory reporting as needed.
- Assisting Payroll Officers and conducting training of junior payroll staff as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience using a ticketing system such as Servicenow.
- Experience using an HRIS and Payroll software.
- Experience with compliance procedures, reconciliations and reporting.
- An excellent knowledge of EBA's, awards and employment contracts.
- Tertiary Qualification.
- Previous NFP experience advantageous.
