The Opportunity
The Payroll & Remuneration Manager holds overall accountability for the accurate and timely processing of all payrolls for the group – including Australia, South-East Asia, and China. As well as supporting the Chief People & Culture Officer with the Remuneration Strategy.
- Accountable for the end-to-end processing of all pay-runs (fortnightly, monthly, and outsourced) against payroll processing deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, and legislation, in Australia, China and Southeast Asia that relate to payroll.
- Better off Overall testing (BOOT) on an annual basis to ensure compliance with all awards and enterprise agreements.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of awards, enterprise agreements, individual agreements, and other industrial instruments and how they relate to Noumi, ensuring they are applied correctly.
- Play an integral part of shift roster changes and how any proposed changes may impact pay.
- Partner with Finance on end-of-month reporting and any other reporting as required.
- Prepare monthly board report information to be provided to People & Culture team.
- Support P&C team with WGEA reporting.
- Develop and implement remuneration strategies that align with the Noumi’s goals and objectives.
- Analyse market trends, conducting salary surveys, and evaluating job roles to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
- Provide expertise on compensation-related matters, ensure compliance with legal regulations,
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role – with strong payroll expertise.
- Expertise in Award & Enterprise Agreement interpretation.
- Experience with roster management and averaging of wages.
- Experience in remuneration management and reviews.
- Sound understanding of Payroll legislation across Australia, Southeast Asia and China.
- Experience using Microplay and Mitre finch.
- Advanced excel skills including reporting, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and Indexing.
- Strong understanding of technical and compliance related payroll matters.
