About the Role
The position is an entry level role with the primary purpose of contributing to the delivery of a best practice internal payroll service. You will provide first line customer service to SVHM employees, as well as administrative support to the Payroll Services team. You may also participate in an integrated Human Resources Helpdesk service as required. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide timely and accurate advice on payroll administration matters
- Provide administrative support to the Payroll Services team
- Under direction, undertake efficient, timely and accurate processing of payroll information and variations as required
- Ensure compliance with statutory and organisational requirements through adherence to relevant processes and controls
Classifications for this position will range from HS1 ($58,442.80 per annum, pro-rata for part time)

- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Payroll
The Payroll Services team is responsible for providing services to a major metropolitan public hospital that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with staff including shift workers paid under multiple industrial agreements, processing two fortnightly pay runs paid in alternate weeks.
