Our Payroll & HR Administrator position is an exciting opportunity to showcase your existing skills and capabilities with the end to end processing of fortnightly payroll. You’ll work with a great team who support and assist each other with close contact with an emotionally mature finance team. You’ll be mentored by some great talent providing solutions for a one-of-a-kind, Australian owned multi-utility company.
We’re a mid-size business with just over 100 people, our offices are in two states with three different locations as well as our water sites, seven in total in NSW. We celebrate and relish the fact that as a mid-size company we can provide some great benefits like the bigger players, but unlike the bigger players, our people get a greater breadth of experience. This role is ready for an experienced Payroll Administrator with some experience and interest in HR administration as well.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure our fortnightly payroll is processed with speed and accuracy
- Respond to employee queries, resolving issues and actively taking responsibility for any payroll matters
- Audit employee pay records
- Interpreting any changes in legislation and how that may impact what we do, staying informed of our company polices and procedures and reflecting that in our records
- Provide administrative support to the P&C function in areas of HRIS, compensation, benefits, employee relations, learning and development
- Assistance in maintaining our HRIS, drafting employee documents and new starter requirements
What you’ll need to bring to the role:
- At least 2 years related experience
- Certification in Payroll or HR or equivalent
- Attention to detail without a doubt
- The ability to think critically, look for the unusual and have the initiative to investigate
- Teamwork
- Integrity and maintaining confidentiality.
