The Role
Looking for a solution providing individual who will be responsible for the hands-on delivery of the day-to-day operations of the payroll function within the organisation. Working closely with the HR Services Manager you will ensure all aspects of payroll processing are completed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- End to end processing of payroll for all business units in Pacific Energy.
- Ensure pay runs are calculated in accordance with relevant legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreement rates, allowances and higher duties changes and other relevant information.
- Investigate complex pay anomalies, undertake calculations for special work arrangements and business requirements, ensuring appropriate tax treatment is applied, and develop solutions to meet business needs.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll tax, superannuation and PAYG compliance and payments.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including pay, withholding tax and benefit deductions.
- Work with key stakeholders by providing business process improvement as required
- Consult with business leaders and relevant Operations and HR team members on rostering and workforce management practices to deliver solutions that drive efficiencies and improves workforce management.
- Assist with workers compensation declarations and salary continuance claim processing.
- Ensure novated lease, purchased leave and other salary arrangements are captured as required.
- Monthly Reporting
- Diploma level qualifications in Human Resource Management or Payroll Administration or other relevant field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Payroll experience within a medium organisation.
- Demonstrate business acumen to deliver effective workforce management solutions.
- Strong understanding of and the application of legislation, policies, standards, regulations, and procedures relevant to Payroll.
