Payroll Manager required on a permanent full time basis for a large State Government Body.

Our client is a Government Body looking for a full time, Payroll Manager within their Burwood East headquarters on a permanent basis.
Your new role
The Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of employment & pay related services for the department. There is a strong focus on the development of internal and external policies & procedures ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and service standards.
Your duties will include:
Manage and monitor the efficient and accurate processing and delivery of employment and pay related administration and services for all staff and Executives across the employment lifecycle
Research, analyse and investigate difficult and/or complex cases and provide expert advice to team members in resolving these matters.
Provide authoritative subject matter expertise, advice and query support to management and staff in relation to pay related policy and services.
Implement and maintain payroll governance practices and controls to ensure risk is minimised and statutory obligations are fulfilled.
Oversee the Payroll System environments, including consultation with ICT and Systems Governance representatives to establish and maintain effective controls
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to have demonstrated experience managing a significant payroll function, as well as the ability to provide authorities, clear and relevant advice on payroll, remuneration, systems and the interpretation of legislation and awards. The successful candidate will also need to obtain or hold a valid Employee Working with Children Check.
