About the role
The payroll team at MCC is critical to ensuring the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle is best in class and our commitment to the employer/employee relationship is fulfilled. The Payroll Manager will be an integral part of our close-knit Adelaide team.
The Payroll Manager will lead end-to-end payroll for selected entities in Australia in addition to leading the function.
Duties include:
- Provide leadership to the payroll team.
- Efficient and accurate processing of weekly payroll as well as s processing of new employees.
- Liaising with employees, Team Leaders, and Managers to resolve payroll and time & attendance-related queries.
- Lead month and year-end processes for the allocated entities.
- Manage accounting entries and payroll legislated reporting and payments – Journals, WorkCover, Payroll Tax etc.
- Lead and/or participate payroll projects across Australia.
- Maintain auditable employee records for payroll and Human Resources
- Ensure payroll services such as reporting, and analytics are accurate and provided in a timely manner.
About you
- Sound knowledge of the payroll process and legislation
- Exposure to one or more major payroll and/or time & attendance systems (exposure to Dayforce and Micropay will be highly regarded
- Experience in the consolidation of a recent payroll implementation would be ideal.
- Experience in a busy payroll function & have had experience in running complex weekly payrolls.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel (vlookups and pivots essential)
