Opportunity
Normet is currently looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to become part of our dynamic and supportive HR Team on a 12 month contract, this is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in both our Payroll and HR operations at a National level.
Working Monday – Friday either full-time or part time hours with the flexibility to work one day a week from home and negotiable start and finish times, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes for our national workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Process payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits deductions.
- Resolve any pay variances, pay adjustments and termination payments.
- Resolve employee inquiries regarding payroll matters promptly and professionally.
- Maintain and update new and departing employee data in ADP Payline and Human Force.
- Process Payroll Journal along with all leave accrual journals in ERP system (D365).
- Reconciliation of Payroll Leave Accounts.
- Process Superannuation, WorkCover and Payroll Tax.
- Prepare and analyse monthly labour utilisation reports for Normets Branch's Nationally.
- Assist with budget versus actual salary payroll report, determine variances and reconcile with Finance Department.
About you
- Minimum of 4-5 years of proven experience in a Payroll Officer position.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax laws, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Human Resources Information Systems - ADP Payroll, Human Force and Workday or similar (desirable).
- Experience with ERP Systems is desirable.
- Relevant qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing and documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Full working rights in Australia.
The successful candidate must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and obtain a National Police Clearance before commencement.
