Job Description:Key Responsibilities:· Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processes for approximately 4,000 award-based restaurant employees and 200 award-free employees in higher management, ensuring timely and accurate payments.· Supervision: Lead and manage a team consisting of 1 Senior Payroll Officer and 1 Payroll Officer, providing guidance and support.· Payroll Processing: Ensure the efficient and accurate processing of weekly payrolls for restaurant staff and four-weekly payrolls for above-restaurant staff, including wages and allowances.· System Management: Coordinate with internal and external technical support for system enhancements, upgrades, specifications, testing, and communication processes.· Data Management: Oversee the data requirements from the Payroll System database and its interfaces with various People & Culture systems, including Onboarding, Time & Attendance, Oracle, the Global Employee Management system, and the Business Reporting system (DOMO).· Compliance and Obligations: Manage superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax obligations (including related entities), ensuring timely and accurate payments, systems efficiency, and adherence to legislative requirements.· Financial Reconciliation: Complete periodic general ledger reconciliations related to payroll accounting.· Cost Analysis: Provide regular wage, salary, and incentive cost analyses to the Finance, Operations, and People & Culture teams.· Internal Control: Maintain a high level of internal control over the payroll function, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for the People & Culture Time & Attendance and Onboarding systems to ensure compliance with awards and legislation.· SOX Compliance: Ensure the department adheres to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements.By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
