The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our small close knit management team. As a guide your responsibilities will include:
- Manage end to end processing of a large fortnightly payroll in compliance with the applicable awards, legislation and Company policies
- Review and maintain our payroll and workforce management systems to ensure employees profiles are accurate and up to date
- Working closely with our store managers and head office team
- Provide excellent customer service, timely resolving payroll inquiries from team members
- General accounting and administration duties, including pay adjustments
- Uphold our "lean" culture by working with management to identify and action opportunities resulting in operational efficiency and effectiveness
- 5 years of payroll experience
- Proficiency in payroll and workforce management software, experience with humanforce and Sage Micropay an advantage
- Strong communication skills, both written & verbal
- Excellent time management and strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities, balancing ‘day to day' vs ‘project work'
