Description
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Managing weekly and monthly pay run on time and according to Finance & Audit requirements.
- Ensuring all staff changes (including new starters, exits, promotions, transfers, and higher duties) are al recorded promptly and all salary benefits are updated in the HR/payroll system.
- Advising on pay and other remuneration issues.
- Discussing with staff issues relating to pay and conditions.
- Coordination of workers' compensation payments and reconciliation.
- Coordination of superannuation contributions ensuring statutory requirements is met.
- Reconciliation of payroll information, checking attendance registers, and processing of payroll information.
- Handling staff inquiries about payroll.
- Providing headcount and costing reports as requested.
- Liaising with the ATO, Services Australia, and Centrelink for the payments and queries relating to Payroll Tax, Child Support, and Garnishee deductions.
- Provide monthly reports to the Finance Team.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Profile
We are looking for someone who has :
- Experience in industrial payroll
- Experience with Preceda is preferred
- has experience in end-to-end payroll
- understanding of the awards related to the industrial sector
Job Offer
This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is looking for a short week of 3.5 days (30/32 hours of work) and is available to start immediately.
Mandatory days in the office are Tuesdays and Wednesdays to ensure a smooth payroll run
