The Administrative Appeals Tribunal is looking for a Payroll Officer to join our supportive, friendly, and collaborative Pay & Conditions team.  This role can be based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney location. This position can be appointed on an ongoing basis or a period of up to 18 months.

Remuneration:  The salary range for the position is APS4: $74,072 - $80,424 p.a., plus an employer contribution of 15.4% superannuation applies.

About the opportunity:

As a Payroll Officer you will be delivering the fortnightly payroll in a role that is varied and rewarding. You will be providing advice on payroll related matters and undertaking processing across all elements of APS payroll.

About you:

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong ability and willingness to adapt to change.
  • A track record of delivering against set timeframes.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of APS legislation and other authoritative sources and how they apply in the context of payroll.
  • Experience in the Aurion payroll system, or similar human resource management information system.

Ideally you will have previous payroll experience however candidates with the drive and passion to learn may be considered and would receive training for the successful candidate.

Position Eligibility Requirements:

The AAT requires Australian Citizenship as a condition of engagement.

All employees are required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and health assessment.
