The Role
Working in a team of two, you will play a pivotal role by processing the weekly payroll ensuring it runs smoothly and is completed with a high level of accuracy. We are looking for someone to join us on a part time (0.6 FTE, 3 days per week) 12-month fixed term contract to assist us with parental leave cover. We support a flexible working environment and can offer flexible start and finish times, although the successful candidate will be required to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to;
- Execute end-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payroll for Sarah Group and its related entities.
- Process new hires, terminations, and any other changes to employment details to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Prepare non-routine calculations including but not limited to termination payments, leave accrual audits, and leave cash outs.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual statutory payments across all entities within the Group. This includes Superannuation, Payroll Tax, WorkCover, Child Support, BIRST and Portable Long Service Leave.
- Assist with the implementation of a new HRIS as and when required.

- Experience as a Payroll Officer in a high-volume environment
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- The ability to take initiative and eagerness to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, problem solve and prioritise
- Great organisational skills and meticulous, especially with numbers
