Join our team as a Payroll Officer and take charge of the heartbeat of our organisation's financial operations.
Reporting directly to the Payroll & Employee Services Manager, you'll be the driving force behind accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees. You will also be instrumental in onboarding new hires, responding to payroll inquiries, and ensuring seamless month-end and year-end reporting.

Your Impact:
Revenue Quality
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll data, including higher duties, salary sacrifice, workers' compensation, and roster amendments
• Process terminations in compliance with company timeframes, ATO regulations, and legislative guidelines
Operations
• Execute tasks in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
• Uphold confidentiality of company and employee records as per Privacy Act 1988
• Recommend improvements to payroll department efficiency and contribute to policy development
People
• Provide support to enhance team performance and efficiency
• Assist in training for new and existing employees
• Participate in team meetings and facilitate communication to support continual learning
Communication & Stakeholder Management
• Share information readily and adapt communication style to match the audience
• Ensure clear and straightforward communication of specialist information
Financial Leadership & Sustainability
• Support Senior Payroll Advisor and Payroll & Employee Services Manager
• Collaborate in developing and implementing payroll processes
• Contribute to payroll team initiatives

You’ll bring to the table:
• A minimum of 3 years full function, end-to-end Payroll experience in a medium or large organisation
• A strong understanding of Payroll statutory requirements, EA and Award Interpretation
• Possess excellent written, verbal communication and organisational skills as well as attention to detail. Ability to manage conflicting deadlines
• Experience working across multiple levels within an organisation and communicating confidently and effectively with stakeholders at all levels and understand the importance of confidentiality
• Advanced ability using Microsoft Excel and the other Office Suite
• Ability to acquire and maintain a Positive Working with Children Check
Desirable
• Experience in Payroll systems SAP & SuccessFactors preferred.
• Dimensions Time & Attendance experience.
