We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Officer and Accounts Support person to join our team on a full-time salaried basis. This role will be Reporting to the Accounts and Payroll Manager and is based at our office in South Wharf.
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
End to end Payroll:
- Process weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner ensuring compliance with the award and legislative requirements.
- Maintain and update Time and Attendance system (Deputy)
- Maintenance of payroll master files data including cost centres
- Liaise with managers on staff changes and ensure the accuracy of payroll.
- Ensure compliance of current payroll/taxation regulations.
- Produce timely and accurate reports as required.
- Record, maintain and update payroll procedures.
- Respond to staff payroll queries.
- Complete necessary payroll analysis reports
- Processing & issuing new employee's contracts and terminations.
- Complete new employee onboarding system (Cognito)
- Upload of employees RSA, Visa’s and advising management of any issues
- Ensuring accurate payroll transactions and payment using MYOB AccountRight
- Preparation and timely delivery of pay slips and annual payment summaries.
- Managing Superannuation Choice funds for employees
- Managing leave entitlements and payments
Accounts Support:
Processing of supplier invoices through MYOB AccountRight
- Collect and collate invoices and distribute to appropriate departments for approval.
- Weekly processing of payments of approved supplier invoices and email remittances
- Reconciliation of monthly supplier statements and following up of missed invoices and/or credits if applicable
Experience & attributes:
- 5+ years’ experience managing the end-to-end payroll process.
- Prior experience with a mid-sized company
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including Fair Work Act, payroll tax, super requirements
- Knowledge of Restaurant Award 2020 advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to manage high volumes in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to both extract reports from payroll systems, analyse and report findings.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and implement process improvements and enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy
- Experience with MYOB AccountRight (or similar) Deputy and MS Office would be advantageous.
- Ability to multi-task with excellent time management
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and engage with stakeholders.
