About the Job:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead and evolve our payroll and admin function. As a Payroll Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate payment of wages and salaries, maintaining payroll compliance, and facilitating effective communication within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly end-to-end payroll accurately and on time.
- Respond promptly to payroll queries and maintain updated employee information.
- Conduct ad hoc payments and payroll documentation.
- Ensure compliance with legislative changes and assist with reconciliations.
- Provide meaningful reporting to the group and manage group reporting requirements.
- Foster a culture of excellent customer service and teamwork.
- Assist in the maintenance of payroll systems and ensure data accuracy.
- Uphold a safety-first culture and promote a safe work environment.
- National Payroll experience across multiple states would be beneficial.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary study in Business Management or related field.
- Experience in a large, complex environment.
- Experience transitioning to new payroll systems would be beneficial.
- Understanding of Awards & Enterprise Agreements.
- Intermediate Excel experience.
- Time and Attendance (T&A) experience.
- Retail payroll experience.

Internal: Collaborate with store management and all employees.
