THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the part-time Payroll Officer will assist with the processing of a fortnightly payroll of around 700 local, and internationally based employees including:
- Maintenance of the Time & Attendance to ensure correct information is reflected (including leave taken)
- Monitoring of the online leave application system
- Assistance with monthly international payroll (outsourced vendor maintenance)
- Initiate payment of fortnightly wages and superannuation processing via banking and clearing house on-line systems
- Process new employee details and in association with the Payroll Manager process terminations
- Respond to staff enquiries promptly and professionally
- Maintain payroll and Company procedures in line with current practices, awards and EBA
- Assist with month end and year end procedures as required
- At least 4 years payroll processing experience (using "in demand" Tier 2 payroll software products)
- EBA exposure
- Professional presentation, first-class customer service focus
