We are seeking a part-time Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in delivering compliant and accurate payroll services for a portfolio of construction clients, and be the go-to expert for all payroll matters.
Your responsibilities:
- Execute precise and compliant payroll processing for labour resources ensuring adherence to the awards, legislation, and relevant industry regulations.
- Manage superannuation, salary packaging, workers compensation and fringe benefits for labour resources.
- Maintain accurate pay rate and resource records for payroll and HR purposes.
- Assist with annual salary reviews and provide insightful reports to clients on labour resource costs and trends.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices in payroll.
- Respond to client and employee queries regarding payroll and related HR matters for all labour resources.
The Candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior payroll role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Diploma of Payroll Services (or equivalent payroll qualification).
- Demonstrated understanding and application of the Building & Construction Award, Fair Work legislation, and construction industry regulations related to labour resources.
- Proficiency in payroll software programs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to payroll.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for accurate payroll and commitment to continuous improvement.
