Payroll Subject Matter Expert - 5 Months Contract - Excellent Salary Package

TAPS- The Association for Payroll Specialists, with over 28 years in the payroll industry and a strong presence nationally, are currently looking for a new Payroll Subject Matter Expert to assist the Sydney Head Office team.  

This position will offer a motivated individual a challenging and exciting working environment, where your experience and input will be valued and called upon as the business and our memberships continues to expand!!!   

Our Purpose: 

To ensure our TAPS members stay up to date with the latest payroll legislation by researching, writing and updating training course materials, answering helpline questions and writing educational material, articles, factsheets and our famous eTAPS newsletters!   

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist TAPS members by answering helpline questions via email and phone 
• Write and update helpline factsheets
• Write educational articles for TAPS publications
• Researching and keeping up to date with payroll news, current affairs, events and trends and sharing this knowledge with the team so as to say abreast of the market. 
• Research, develop, update and create training materials and manuals for Australian payroll

Specific Knowledge Required:   

• Considerable understanding of payroll issues and mandatory legal requirements, including knowledge of PAYG, FBT, SGC, Payroll Tax, Workers Compensation, Award Interpretation and National Employment Standards.
• Legislation Subject Matter Expert
• Tech savvy - experience using PowerPoint and Excel
