AddressNew Payroll Team Leader opportunity working for a leading Australian organization.
This opportunity is a 12 month fixed term contract located in Mascot. Salary offering up $140,000 + super depending on experience.
You will report into the division Payroll Manager and support the business by being a subject matter expert across several EBA groups. You will support the manager with the check and balances ensuring accuracy within the fortnightly payroll. You will be the point of escalation for the payroll analyst within the team.
This role will be suited to candidates who have held senior roles within their payroll career, who have worked in a large organization with a range of Award / EBA interpretation experience.
As this is a FTC role, candidates who are immediately available or have a short notice period are highly encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure the team completes fortnightly reconciliations on time and accurately.
- Provide analysis and assessment of manpower solutions.
- Analyze work practices, processes and systems to identify and implement changes and strategies that improve processes and reduce costs.
- Promote understanding of importance to details, especially to avoid overpayment / underpayments to staff.
- Analyze and assess company and union claims and evaluate / source data to complete costings.
- Raise specification and testing Ut changes to ensure integrity of data and files interface with the payroll system.
- Develop metrics and management reports enabling more informed decision making.
- Develop effective business relationships with key internal staff and external business partners.
Preferred skills and experience:
- Excellent attention to detail and capacity to manage priorities.
- Ability to analyze multiple complex analytic tasks across multiple data sets.
- Experience working with a range of awards/ EBA's and the interpretation of them.
- Payroll & WFP system knowledge.
- Payroll statutory and legislative knowledge.
