About the Role

Reporting to the Head of People and Culture Business Partnering for Child, Youth and Families, you will be instrumental in partnering with our NSW Child, Youth and Families teams to assess, understand and respond to business demand for strategic and operational P&C support in line with LWB’s strategic goals and culture.

This is an 8-month full-time Maximum Term Contract role supporting our NSW CYF uplift project. You will play a pivotal role as a visible leader across the business, partnering to develop a culture that encourages accountability and collaboration. Your approach will be hands-on, with a deep technical knowledge of best practice HR business partnering.

Regular travel will be required, visiting our CYF homes across NSW to support our people managers, providing capability uplift, training, coaching, and checking in with new starters. Data analysis and improvements around our metrics are paramount. When not travelling, you can work from home or from one of our NSW-based offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and support the P&C strategy
  • Implement, model and support national P&C service delivery standards
  • Develop creative solutions to business challenges in line with relevant workforce strategy
  • Facilitate organisational redesign activities from structure, process and culture perspectives including the use of effective change management techniques
  • Provide professional advice and coaching support to business leadership teams on a range of P&C related issues
  • Ensure a high level of quality in customer service, and provision of effective and efficient delivery of P&C services

Skills & Experience

  • Degree level qualification in human resources or a related field or demonstrated equivalent experience and a willingness to enrol in further study
  • Significant experience in generalist human resources position / business partnering / similar role
  • Demonstrated experience navigating a complex organisation, forging relationships, and managing through influence
  • The ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, partners, unions and external organisations
  • Demonstrated written communication skills for the creation of reports, correspondence and other material
  • Strong verbal communication skills and presentation ability
  • Proficient ability in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
