Join our dedicated team as a Pellet Press Operator, where you will play a critical role in producing high quality fertilizers for both the domestic and export markets. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain press equipment ensuring efficient and safe processing of fertilizer products. The role requires constant communication with the greater production team in order to achieve production targets whilst adhering to quality standards.
Reporting to the Production Manager, your role will include, but not limited, to the following:
- Operating and monitory press machinery and equipment, including press, conveyors, silos, transfer bins and any other equipment as required.
- Loading and unloading of trucks (bulk and pallets).
- Forklift and front-end loader operation.
- Maintaining a safe, clean working environment.
- Assisting the bagging operators when required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a manufacturing role preferably within the feed, agricultural sectors.
- Pellet press experience (desirable).
- Experience as a forklift driver and the operation of a front-end loader (desirable).
- The ability to pass random drug and alcohol screening.
- Committed, reliable with a proactive approach to work.
- Able to commit to quality and safety procedures (SOP’s).
- Mechanically minded with a safety-first mind-set.
- Strong communication skills and the willingness to develop and work as part of a team.
- Be physically fit and capable of completing manual tasks which may include some heavy lifting.
- Flexibility in working hours to meet production requirements. Weekend work and extended hours during the week will be required from time to time.
