Permanent Full Time position
Salary: $101,073 to $112,807 per annum, plus superannuation and a nine-day fortnight.
Appointed salary will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

We are seeking an engaging and motivated P&C Business Partner to join our People & Culture Team!
About us
Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.
About the role
In this newly created role, the successful applicant will work closely with the Business Partnering and Organisational Development teams to deliver the People & Culture operational plan into the business and drive high performance.
With a client group of approximately 180 and a trusted partner to two Directors, the successful candidate will provide advice and coaching on all aspects of the employee lifecycle while facilitating the cyclical P&C programs as well as new programs developed by the Organisational Development team, this can include:
- Leadership coaching and development
- Facilitation of the talent and succession planning process
- Support the annual performance appraisal and calibration process
- Provide advice and support on change management strategies
- Develop and implement cultural change and engagement initiatives
- Provide ER and IR advice to client group
- Facilitation of training and development as required
- Support the safety and wellness initiatives
Equally the successful candidate will collaborate with the business on key people challenges and provide strategies and solutions to address.

About you
The successful candidate will be a pro-active, enthusiastic person with strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of human resources. Highly developed communication, influencing and prioritisation skills are essential, as is the ability to problem-solve and provide solutions. To be successful in this role you will need to have tertiary qualifications in human resources or a related field and/or extensive demonstrated experience within human resources and employee relations.
