About the Role
The People & Culture Team at Thredbo have an opportunity for a HR professional to join them on a Fixed Term contract (6-12months) to partner and deliver key HR and ER daily operational support. The People and Culture Business Partner will be vital in aligning EVT Group’s commercial objectives with our people objectives by supporting the implementation of the People and Culture Strategy. Based in Thredbo Resort this role will have unique opportunities to enhance our People Brand, ELEVATE, and drive initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work culture.
If you’re up for an exciting opportunity to:
- Collaborate with Department Managers to provide strategic P&C support aligned with organisational goals.
- Provide sound advice and coaching for employee relations matters, including investigations, and conflict resolution, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and attract top talent through effective sourcing and selection processes.
- Lead performance management processes to drive employee development and engagement.
- Support organisational change initiatives by providing change management advice, communication plans, and training to facilitate smooth transitions.
- Provide support to the People and Culture team in day-to-day operations.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Experience and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or similar field.
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, with a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office suite.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and promoting a culture of belonging in the workplace.
- Previous experience in the ski industry, including managing seasonal onboarding and demands, would be advantageous.
