The Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager People and Culture, this role provides high quality support to managers and staff across the entire range of HR services, as well as supporting the delivery of cyclical P&C activities and project work.
The role is an ideal opportunity for a HR practitioner with some experience to work flexibly, manage work-life balance and continue to grow and develop and make a genuine contribution to the P&C function in an environment with a highly engaged workforce.
This is a Part-time 0.6 FTE opportunity. There is flexibility available on work pattern including days and hours worked as well as location. This can range from home, our Cheltenham office and our various locations across Melbourne.
Key work tasks include:
HR Services
- Provision of advice on HR Services to stakeholders
- Administration of operational tasks including employee variations, secondments, higher duties and terminations.
- Generation of contract letters, probation management, variations, exits and relevant employee communication.
- Coordination of employee onboarding including online onboarding, maintenance of employee records and electronic files.
- Coordination of general people related reports and metrics.
- Supporting the development and administration of the Better Place Reward and Recognition program.
Recruitment / Talent acquisition
- Provide support in the coordination of recruitment/talent acquisition activities including liaison with hiring managers, developing position descriptions, advertisements, screening, organising interviews and reference checking.
- Support in the candidate management process to ensure timely communication to candidates and applicants.
Support Cyclical P&C activities
- Participate in the development and delivery of P&C projects and initiatives as required (change management, HRIS, facilitation, performance review, remuneration reviews).
- Coordinate and continuously improve HR services documentation and guides, including manager, employee and HR policies, guides, forms and procedures.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in a similar HR role, including provision of generalist HR services.
- Exposure to recruitment activities including the job posting and candidate management.
- Well developed verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
Desirable
- Employee Relations exposure.
- Knowledge of Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
