About the Role:
As the People and Culture Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in assisting the management of the Human Resources function. With a strong focus on coordinating external events and internal training initiatives to support our employees’ professional development and enhance our workplace culture. This role is ideal for a proactive and organised individual with a passion for People and a strong focus on delivering impactful learning experiences.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Event Coordination
- Plan organise and coordinate external events, such as team building activities, employee recognition events and community engagement initiatives.
- Liaise with external vendors, venues and partners to ensure seamless execution of events, including negotiation of contracts and managing budgets.
- Coordinating logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and event set up and breakdown.
- Manage event promotion and communications to ensure maximum participation and engagement from employees.
- Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop relevant training programs.
- Coordinate internal training sessions, work shops and seminars, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
- Schedule training sessions, book venues, and coordinate logistics, including materials preparation and technology setup.
- Track employee participation and feedback, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to make continuous improvements.
- Support the HR team in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns related to HR initiatives and policies.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in event coordination and/or training coordination, preferably in a retail or customer service environment.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event manager software/tools.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
