The role
An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced Human Resources Consultant to join the Clayton Utz Sydney office on a permanent basis. This is a new role due to growth.
Working with an energetic and close-knit team and reporting to the Sydney P&D Manager, you will provide trusted advice to our partners, managers and employees as part of the broader Sydney P&D team. You will be responsible for driving the delivery of people initiatives and operations across the partner and employee life-cycle, in alignment with the firm's people strategy.
Responsibilities, knowledge and initiatives will include:
Advising on firm policies and employee relations matters
Delivering cyclical activities such as promotions, annual performance and remuneration review and talent identification to client groups
Initiating recruitment and workforce planning activities
Partnering with our Learning & OD team to identify individuals for the firm's excellence programs and other projects
Culture and engagement initiatives
Coaching partners, managers and employees
Championing the firm's diversity and inclusion strategy
Promoting the firm's health and wellbeing offerings, including connecting individuals to support as needed
Project work
Change management
Skills & Experience
Significant relevant HR generalist experience in a similar business partnering role in a complex, professional and highly client focused environment
Proven abilities in developing and maintaining relationships with key and senior stakeholders
The ability to drive projects and decisions through to completion
Experience working within the legal profession or in professional services (advantageous although not essential)
The People and Development (P&D) team
With a presence in each of our offices, the national P&D team forms part of our Business Advisory Services department. The P&D team provides strategic business partnering support to the business on P&D issues, driving and delivering a range of initiatives to ensure that Clayton Utz is a great place to work.
