Job description

Job Description:
About Civeo:
Civeo is a global workforce accommodation specialist dedicated to helping individuals maintain healthy and productive lives while living and working away from home. In Australia, Civeo operates with over 14,000 rooms across Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, and Western Australia. As part of the larger Civeo Corporation, our global presence spans Australia, the United States, and Canada, boasting a combined total of over 33,000 rooms.
Your Role:
As the National P&C Manager, Business Partnering at Civeo APAC, you will be a key player in the People and Culture leadership team, reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, People and Safety. Leading a team of Senior Business Partners and Business Partners, your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic guidance and support in the management of employees across the business. Your new role is based in Perth, Western Australia and will involve extensive travel to our villages nationally.
Your role involves overseeing a team of specialists, guiding the delivery of strategies and initiatives in areas such as industrial relations, workplace behavior, performance management, and fostering a Fair and Just culture. As a leader, you will assist and mentor Business Partners in handling disciplinary and grievance processes, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
You will contribute to the development of effective relationships with internal clients and external stakeholders, providing timely advice to managers on interpreting and implementing employee relations policies, processes, and legislation. Additionally, you will lead workplace investigations, ensuring a robust and defensible process in addressing employee conduct concerns.
Playing a crucial part in the People and Culture function, you will lead P&C solutions for bids and tenders, support deliverables for mobilisations and expansion projects, and contribute to regular reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. Your role extends to informing leaders and the P&C community about legislative changes in employee relations and industrial relations that may impact the business.
As the National P&C Manager, Business Partnering, you will be instrumental in building positive relationships and interactions among employees, fostering a collaborative and supportive workplace culture. Join us in shaping the People and Culture landscape at Civeo and make a significant impact on the management of employees within our dynamic organisation.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced and strategic leader within the People and Culture domain. Your proven track record in managing teams and delivering impactful strategies makes you the perfect fit for this position.
You possess a deep understanding of industrial relations, employee relations, and the intricacies of managing workplace behavior, underperformance, and disciplinary processes. Your expertise extends to cultivating a Fair and Just culture and managing psychosocial risk within the workforce.
We are seeking someone with a proven track record in successfully negotiating Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs) within the blue collar workforce. Your expertise in navigating and concluding EBA negotiations will be crucial in this role, contributing to the continued success and fair employment practices at Civeo.
As a mentor and guide, you have successfully assisted Business Partners in navigating disciplinary and grievance processes, demonstrating your commitment to fairness and consistency. Your comprehensive knowledge of employee relations practices, coupled with your ability to interpret and implement policies and legislation, positions you as a valuable resource for managers seeking advice.
Your leadership extends beyond routine processes to encompass performance management, counselling, and the oversight of workplace investigations. You have a keen eye for building effective relationships, both internally and externally, and understand the importance of collaboration in achieving organisational goals.
What Civeo Can Offer You:
  • Flexible Working Arrangements including Work From Home
