We’re changing the way Australia generates its energy, are you ready for a change?The ProjectUGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink’s delivery of CopperString 2032. This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland’s North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid. The project scope includes:
- 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden
- 330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry
- 220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa
- up to six new substation sites.
Job Purpose:The P&C Coordinator is responsible for providing a range of operational support and administrative services. In this role you will assist the People and Culture functions in meeting operational requirements in supporting the utilities division which also includes recruitment.
The key responsibilities in this role include:Represents the Utilities & Renewables divisions in dealing with candidates, internal employees (including Senior Management), the Recruitment team and broader P&C function, and the Payroll department.Transactional support for all onboarding and offboarding activities for all Contracts within the P&C Coordinator’s portfolio – including drafting and issuing of Contracts of Employment and maintaining payroll and HR systems to reflect changes.
Key responsibilities.· Organises and maintains personnel records, updates internal HR databases, and prepares and issues HR documentation.· Collaborate with HR team Members to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall employee experience.· Preparation and maintenance of employee files including document control throughout end-to-end Recruitment & HR processes;· Respond to P&C enquiries, referring matters to the appropriate P&C team member when necessary;· Support for the annual Organisational Development calendar of events including reporting requirements for the Performance Review process, diversity reporting, performance management, etc;· Management of P&C transactions including issuing of Inductions and Exit Interviews.· Drafting of letters including Confirmation of Employment, Jury Duty exemptions, etc;· Assist with regular reporting on HR and Recruitment metrics.· Participate and champion HR projects targeting continuous improvement of the P&C function’s service offering to the Utilities & Renewables divisions.· Implement onboarding programs for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation and site.· Coordinate orientation sessions to introduce new hires to company policies, procedures, and cultureThe successful candidate will require:
- Qualification in Human Resources or similar (or working towards) preferred
- Recruitment experience will be highly regarded.
- 1-2 years in a P&C position within a similar environment.
- Site based experience an advantage.
- Thorough knowledge of SAP is desirable.
- High attention to detail essential
- Methodical and organised approach to work
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office, SAP, Taleo)
- Previous experience in a busy office environment
- Ability to balance multiple and conflicting deadlines.
- Well-developed communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
