POSITION PURPOSE
The purpose of the People and Culture Manager, is to offer support to all employees through all aspects of their work. The role is responsible for coordinating recruitment, onboarding, staff wellness, performance management and professional development ensuring compliance regulations are always adhered to.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
Advisor to Management
- Providing advice and practical guidance to the Executive Team to ensure best practice across the group with all people and culture related practices, processes and policies that result in high performing and engaged teams
- Provide professional advice and support in the implementation of HR strategies, emerging HR issues, developing recommendations for improved service delivery and resolution of HR issues
- Build collaborative networks with all employees
Attract and Recruit High Performance People
- Coordinate all people centred strategies and policies that assist Deluca in achieving its culture initiatives.
- Developing and implementing innovative methods to assist in the Deluca Employer of Choice practices
- Coordination and assistance with recruitment strategies and practices to ensure the business recruits those who are aligned with our culture and values
- Coordinate and assist in the development of in-house employee training programs and systems.
- Coordinate succession, retention, talent and career development processes
- Ensure all training and professional development is linked to organisational goals
- Define and maintain Position Descriptions with detailed job specifications
- Coordinate recruitment consultants as required
- Coordinate advertising/attraction channels and approach across the Group
- Coordinate Cadet program
Assist in the Development of High Performers
- Coordination of company organisational development processes that address issues such as succession planning, workforce development and key employee retention
- Assist in coaching leaders in developing a strong team culture which supports the success of the team and empowers the individuals to perform to their full potential
- Assist in coaching leaders best practice in remediating underperformance
- Coordinate the Performance review processes in collaboration with division managers
Employee Wellbeing
- Research, plan, develop and implement initiatives which support employees to achieve and maintain health and wellbeing with buy in from the Executive team
- Provide high level advice in relation to workplace health and wellbeing matters across the organisation, facilitating discussion and engendering widespread commitment to positive outcomes
Employee Relations and Industrial Relations
- Provide professional advice and guidance to leaders on the interpretation of legislation and agreements
- Provide advice, coaching and counselling to managers on best practice process to ensure compliance with Equal opportunity, Discrimination and Workplace Diversity policies and procedures
- Provide strategic and tactical advice and support in relation to managing dispute processes
- Investigation and case management of employee grievances and misconduct where required
- Investigate complex HR issues where required, identify problems and recommend solutions in accordance with legislation, policy and guidelines
Manage On-Boarding and Exiting Processes
- Support On-Boarding and Exiting processes to promote best practice
- Plan and deliver quality on boarding processes for new hires
- Coordinate the exit process for any employees leaving the Group
- Manage contract preparation process in conjunction with the Finance Director
Systems and Administration Support
- Produce monthly report as required
- Maintaining up-to-date personnel information and files
- Develop and maintain policy and procedures as required
- Develop and maintain the Intranet as a primary source of HR information for employees
- Supporting a working environment where people feel engaged, rewarded and valued
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Safety and Quality Assurance
- Promote a positive safety and environmental culture within De Luca in conjunction with the company Compliance & HSEQ Manager by;
- Demonstrating a personal respect for safety at all times (e.g.: wearing safety clothing, identifying unsafe work practices on site etc.)
- Demonstrating a personal respect for the environment
- Ensuring the implementation and use of company systems on projects by regular review of site work practices
- Provide continual feedback on company workplace health and safety and environmental procedures to the Compliance & HSEQ Manager to assist him/her in the improvement of procedures and policies.
