Job description

  • 2 x Temporary Full-Time roles up to 31 January 2025.
  • Location: Sydney CBD and is close to public transport.
  • Salary package up to $131,858. Package includes salary ($106,025 - $$117,363), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
People and Performance Officer
NSW Department of Education has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced individual to join the Business Enablement team as a People and Performance Officer

You will ensure management and staff in SINSW have a clear understanding of human resource policies and procedures including the code of conduct to facilitate a harmonious workplace environment.

About you
We are seeking a motivated person to:
  • Plan, develop, implement and deliver contemporary human resource and organisational and leadership development strategies in a highly collaborative team.
  • Provide expert and considered advice on diverse human resource management activities, policies, practices, key processes and related issues to managers and employees.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders by providing proactive advice and services to facilitate informed decision-making to build highly engaged teams.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s
and upholding the and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education

Please describe the breadth of your experience providing human resource advice in an operational capacity in a large portfolio. (300 words maximum)
Targeted Question 2
Provide an example of a time you were responsible for the development, implementation and review of a human resource initiative involving numerous stakeholders. Explain how you managed complex competing priorities.
Note: the selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening for this role which includes a National Criminal History Check.
