The Division
The Corporate Service Division contributes to aviation safety by enhancing CASA's capability, capacity and service delivery. We are responsible for:
· human resource functions, including workforce planning
· regulatory and technical training and professional development
· governance oversight and coordination across the organisation
· managing productive working relationships with the Minister’s Office and other government agencies
· information technology services
· business improvement and change management
· portfolio management and service delivery transformation program
The Opportunity
The HR Policy Officer reports to the Senior Advisor Performance and Case Management and works in close collaboration with the other members of the team. The HR Policy Officer is required to support the People Performance and Policy team in the provision of advice to managers in relation to CASA’s employment framework and related directives and procedures, and employee case management in relation to illness/injury management and performance/behaviour management.
Depending on your skills set you may primarily work in:
1. Case management activities to support ill and injured staff return to work, engage with managers to address performance concerns and take carriage of employee complaint resolution processes in a timely manner (operating both independently and with guidance as the case requires)
and/or
2. Research and drafting of procedures, instruments and advice based on CASA procedures and practices, compliant with legislative, regulatory, and public sector requirements cross-government.
Additionally you will contribute to the:
3. Building of relationships and collaboration with stakeholders to enable provision of accurate advice and effective resolution of issues.
4. Supporting the implementation of change and promoting continuous improvement activities within the team/Branch and across the organisation as appropriate.
5. Modelling and promoting workplace safety, equity and diversity, participative management and environmental management in the workplace and act in accordance with CASA’s Values and Behaviours.
