Are you looking for an autonomous, self-driven role where you can make this position your own? Do you have a solid understanding of HR policies and legal requirements? If so, we have a new opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact as the People & Wellbeing Coordinator.

The Role:

We are seeking an HR generalist to join O’Farrell Robertson McMahon Lawyers (OFRM) and become an integral part of their high-performing workforce. This new role will support the team leaders and directors in nurturing a leading workplace culture and supporting their staff in delivering high-quality legal services to their clients. The role is instrumental in their operations, overseeing various HR and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain HR Processes: Keep processes and documents current, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.

Utilise HR Software: Manage precise and legally compliant employment records using the cloud-based HR software platform Employment Hero.

Facilitate Employee Growth: Coordinate employee goal setting and reviews to foster growth and development.

Lead Wellbeing Initiatives: Assess, implement, and elevate the employee wellbeing program to provide an optimal working environment.

Coordinate Training: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills and foster career growth.

Smooth Onboarding: Develop and deliver a comprehensive onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a seamless transition and successful start for new employees.

Performance Management: Advise, assist and oversee performance management.

Payroll: Support payroll functions, reviewing and reporting on areas of concern.

Recruitment and Selection: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including position description development, advertising, interviewing, appropriate background checking and employment contract execution.

OH&S Management: Ensure compliance with OH&S policies, including hazard reporting and training.

Key Experience & Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in navigating HR issues with finesse.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products and ready to adopt new technologies. 
  • Outstanding communication skills and a talent for problem-solving and innovative thinking.
  • Driven, self-motivated and independent work style.
