Your Role:
As a Scrub/Scout Nurse working in Notting Hill Day Hospital, you will:
- Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs.
- Be proficient in the function of all equipment related to surgery.
- Provide equipment and care in emergency situations.
- Monitor patient safety, including position and protection from electrosurgical and fibreoptic devices.
- Identify risk factors that may require additional instrumentation/equipment.
Qualifications and skills we value:
We are looking for someone who is patient-focused, compassionate, supportive, and a team promoter. Ideally you will bring the following to the role:
- Dedicated Experience: Experience in clinical peri-operative nursing.
- Industry Know-How: Qualifications in RN Instrument Circulating
- Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in surgical equipment related to IVF/Fertility
- Patient Focus: A supportive and thoughtful approach to patient care.
- Precision Matters: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
In addition to the above, we also require:
- Bachelor of Nursing Degree
- Practices in accordance with:
- Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) National Competency Standards for Registered Nurses.
- National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and functions according to the Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) Standards.
